Dad--John Worden Childs

John Worden Childs was born on January 15, 1937 in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  He was the son of Stanley and Orpha Childs, brother to Marilyn (now Miller) and Richard Childs.  He graduated from US Grant High School in Portland in 1956.  He also graduated from the University of Oregon in 1960.  Then he served in the US Army for a little over 2 years, ending in 1962.  This was the year he married my mother, Pamela Gay Grady Carlock.  Soon they pumped out a couple kids, Susan Mary in 1962 and me in 1964.  My brother James Stanley followed in 1969.  After his third major heart attack he died on August 31, 1988.
